A March of progress

Day by day, week by week, our team is working steadily to help you get things done.

This month it’s another step towards “Calendar Everywhere,” plus a sneaky-good update to our global Quick Add. And happily, we were also able to address a common team workspace request.

Calendar in Upcoming

It’s all about balance. With all your scheduled tasks laid out in a monthly view, you can see – and avert – those super-packed days well in advance. Smart move.

Use the view filter options to focus in on just the tasks you want to see: high-priority, favorite labels, or work/home only

This piece of the calendar puzzle is ready, and more is coming

Overdue tasks happen – just open the sidebar and drag ‘em wherever you have space.

Bye-bye, vague feelings of guilt!

Certain days bloated with way-too-many tasks?

Drag and drop to reschedule easily... your future self will thank you

In this month’s What’s new video, Jon joins Stephen to talk about bringing Calendar to Upcoming. Plus you’ll learn how to use the other nifty features we’ve recently shipped – surprisingly helpful, they are – so you can get your things done with greater ease.

Moving projects out of your team workspace

If there’s one thing we love about our users, it’s their willingness to explore and give feedback.

For those who were curious about team workspaces, but realized – too late – that dragging personal projects there was a one-way move (to guarantee data security), we’ve got good news:

Now team creators (with admin rights) can move their projects from a team workspace back to My Projects. Flexibility and security, as it should be.

Global Quick Add gets some new powers!

Thanks to Rui and Seva’s hard work, your global Quick Add shortcut – that’s Alt/Option+Space on Mac or Ctrl+Space on Windows – just leveled up in a super-helpful way.

Now the window stays active in the foreground, so you can grab links or text from elsewhere without it vanishing. And you can drag it wherever you prefer to, so your next idea can flow straight into your Todoist without delay.

“People have a tendency to over organize when starting a system.
But all you really need is capturing and then organize.

Let the structure grow organically.
I usually advise my customers to start with only 2 projects: Personal and Professional.”
